Nkana FC have strengthened their defence with the signing of 20-year-old left-back Clivert Mwamba from Zambezi Portland FC.
The Kitwe giants announced the move on 21 July, confirming that Mwamba had signed a four-and-a-half-year contract as the club prepared for the 2026 transitional campaign.
Mwamba earned the move after helping Zambezi Portland win the 2025/26 FAZ Copperbelt Division One title. He also featured during the club’s Absa Cup campaign.
His arrival gives Nkana additional competition at left-back and represents another investment in young talent as the 13-time Zambian champions shape their squad.
Following the move, Mwamba described joining Nkana as a dream come true and a major achievement in his career.
He said his focus would be on working hard, continuing to improve and giving his best whenever selected to represent the club.
